Events along the paths of the Campania region
"Campania in Cammino" is a project that intends to enhance and promote the Campania region through unforgettable outdoor experiences linked to walks on its territories. And so, walking along the Via Appia, the Via Francigena, the Path of the Gods, all those ancient routes of transhumance, the many tratturi and tratturelli that have been traveled for centuries, but which today become new vehicles of discovery and wonder, ready to host the forms of tourism that, in the contemporary era, are spreading and developing. "Campania in Cammino" has the ambitious goal of systematizing this precious resource, through the creation of this site, a digital platform designed to facilitate the meeting between supply and demand for all forms of outdoor tourism.
Within this site, it is possible to find detailed information on the regional routes and the territories they cross, the proposal of itineraries designed according to the needs of the target audience, both foreign and Italian, as well as innovative products designed to promote approach to walking tourism by domestic users, thus favoring the development of local tourism. In particular, "Campania in Cammino" allows you to book a series of articulated tourist experiences lasting one or more days, according to the following format: Urban and / or extra-urban trekking walk + Tastings of typical products and dishes + Show moments (music or theatrical performances). Therefore, the platform offers the possibility of living unique experiences dedicated to regional paths which, in turn, will offer the possibility of discovering the other resources guarded by the territory and experiencing pleasant moments of relaxation, far from large urbanized areas.
Targets
The "Campania in Cammino" project aims to achieve the following general and specific objectives:
- Enhance the tourist image of Campania, using the theme of the "path" as the main attraction
- Orienting Campania's tourist offer towards outdoor and proximity tourism
- Promote a tourism culture oriented to the protection of health and the value of safety, also with reference to the anti-COVID policies in force
- Promote the promotion of sectors complementary to tourism, such as agri-food and entertainment
- Trigger integrated sustainable development processes between the various economic sectors connected to tourism
- Strengthen the socio-economic impulse deriving from the trend of tourism on the roads
- Enhance the overall image of the regional tourist offer, destinations, products and tourist services
- Promote the development of promotion and marketing projects consistent with the tourism positioning of Campania
- Orient the regional tourist offer on the quality and safety of services
